Swiss Unlimited by Victorinox Swiss Army

For promoting its new “Swiss Unlimited” perfume, Victorinox has opted for Imagin, a mini-packaging solution from Aptar Beauty + Home.

For a stronger impact, the extra-flat cardboard spray (0.3 ml for 2 to 3 sprays) has been customised with an accessory flying the colors of the Swiss brand.

Swiss Unlimited by Victorinox Swiss Army is a Woody Aromatic fragrance for men. Swiss Unlimited was launched in 2009. The fragrance features wormwood, fir and green notes.

I appreciate masculine fragrances but this one is very especial to me. I use it frequently and I feel more than comfortable, it brings me a sense of pureness and happiness. The original idea for unlimited is to reproduce the smell of the Alpes, and it gets to the point. A unique freshness made of artemisia, aquatic mint, lavender, fir, and unmistakable juniper; this note is not described but it certainly makes the difference.

African-American perfumer Seth Kornegay's new fragrance is one of his most unique and sure to interest foodies - it includes Islay single malt scotch whiskey from the southernmost portion of the Inner Hebridean Islands located off the west coast of Scotland.

The new unisex fragrance from luxury perfumer Seth Kornegay is sure to intrigue food and wine lovers. At $365 for a 1.7 oz bottle, Petra is one of the rarest and most interesting fragrances offered by Seth Kornegay, as it uniquely includes Islay single malt whiskey from the southernmost portion of the Inner Hebridean Islands located off the west coast of Scotland. The new unisex perfume expands the boundaries of traditional fragrance ingredients and tumbles over into the epicurean world. Islay single malt whiskey is known for its smoky character derived from peat, along with a hint of seaweed and salt, which many describe as a medicinal flavor. This enhances Petra and mixes well with the unisex perfume's sensual amber notes melded with alpine freshness and a combination of white and dark wood notes blended with exotic, wild northern herbs and rare barks.

"Petra is one of the most interesting fragrances we have ever created," said Seth Kornegay. "Islay malts are very distinctive and their smoky or saltiness along with hints of vanilla and dried fruit notes really make Petra a luxury perfume catering to the high-end consumer."

First Response-Boston Perfume Offends

A New York perfume manufacturer has come under scrutiny for selling a new firefighter-inspired perfume, First Response-Boston, by those who believe the scent capitalizes on April's tragic bombing at the Boston Marathon, reports ABC News.

Demeter Fragrance Library launched the new perfume, which incorporates the smell of smoke and rubber, on May 18, a month after the Boston Marathon bombing, which killed three and injured 264 people.

Demeter Fragrance Library, which describes itself as a fragrance company with 250 smells that are “inspired by everyday objects and experiences,” is now selling a scent that could certainly be described as “Boston Strong.”

"We have an unusual approach to fragrances; we're constantly looking for things that resonate. We originally wanted to create a perfume for the New York City fire department, but after the events in Boston we decided to tailor the perfume for the Boston firefighters," says Demeter CEO Mark D. Crames, who has lived in the Boston area.

Nevertheless, some Bostonians are not pleased.

"It's pretty soon after the incident to sell a perfume like that," says Boston resident Lauren Passaro, 21. "I think it's pretty insensitive."

Hayley Gundlach of Norwood, Mass., was working at Sugar Heaven, a Boston candy store located at the marathon's finish line, when she heard the blast outside the storefront. "It was pretty stressful. I was and still am pretty shaken up. For a time I was afraid to go outside by myself. Unexpected loud noises made me jump."

"To me, it's a little offensive to try to put the tragedy in a bottle. The first responders weren't just firefighters but also police officers and runners."

As Gundlach suggests, the perfume could have adverse effects on those who witnessed the tragedy. "That smoke smell is so particular to that day that it can be a trigger for a lot of people emotionally; it strikes me as odd that they would include it."

Crames denies trying to turn a profit with the perfume.

On other news, reviews are already in on the fragrance, which users have said is “not for the faint of heart,” and is very “masculine” in nature, but also gives off, “a long lasting fragrance” that they would recommend to their friends.

Brad Pitt’s Perfume Stinks, New Film Might Smell Too

Has Brad Pitt lost the magic touch? It isn’t any huge secret that the 49-year-old Mr. & Mrs. Smith actor has been struggling with some professional and personal issues lately.

A new poster for the upcoming June 21 release of World War Z has some observers wondering out loud if Pitt is no longer Hollywood’s golden boy. The poster looks a bit like a bad PhotoShop, leaving people to wonder if Pitt still has the same respect he once enjoyed as an A-list star.

By the way, The Inquisitr has posted a ton of images from the upcoming film, so don’t forget to check them out.

Anyway, questions go all the way back to last October, when Brad Pitt became the first man to advertise the woman’s perfume, Chanel No. 5. The ad was meant to be arty or romantic, but it may have come across as just goofy. The then 48-year-old Brad Pitt, called “the sexiest man in the world” by Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld, just rambled on about fate and stuff. So whatever.

The perfume campaign flopped, although a funny Saturday Night Live skit came out of it.

Calvin Klein Model Matt Terry Talks Fragrance and Fitness

If you watched the Super Bowl this year, you undoubtedly saw the new face (make that abs) of Calvin Klein underwear: Matt Terry. The 22-year-old model is also fronting the brand's new fragrance, Dark Obsession. We spoke with Terry about the scent, what he loves about women, and his own surprising obsession.

How has your life changed since the Super Bowl ad aired?
"I'll go to the local breakfast place and they'll come up and say, 'Congratulations.' It's flattering but freaky. It's like, I haven't even gone on a first date with you and you know what I look like in my underwear."

You're the face of Dark Obsession for Men. What do you like about the fragrance?
"I had not smelled it until recently, and it turned out cooler than I thought. It has a very mellow, pleasant, vanilla-y smell along with a boldness and spice to it. It's not overpowering, which I like, because most men's fragrances are too in-your-face."

Do you remember your first fragrance?
"It's very ironic. When I was 14 or 15 my mom bought me a Calvin Klein fragrance kit. It had Obsession, Escape, and Eternity, along with another one. It's insane that I used to see this on my dresser every day and now my face is on the advertisements."

How do you think a woman should smell?
"I think a woman should smell very comforting—at least that's what I really enjoy. I like a gentle smell."

How did you get your body in the shape it's in?
"I try to go to the gym four to five times a week. I warm up for 10 to 15 minutes and then I jump into circuit training. My friends help me go to the gym because it sucks going by yourself. They push me to another level, and it makes the whole process better."

Growing Up With The Love Of Perfumes

When I was 12 years old, I walked the half-mile to the neighborhood drugstore. I spent my complete month’s allowance on a bottle of the year’s popular cologne. It was an excessive but poignant Christmas present for my mother and I purchased it weeks in advance, painstakingly carrying it home and leaving it wrapped and unattended on a bookshelf.

I impatiently anticipated the holiday. My younger brother, just 4 years old, couldn't resist the attraction. One late afternoon I came across the present on my bedroom floor, it's bottle shattered, its box unwrapped. Heaven Scent by Helena Rubenstein spilled carelessly on the floorboards, trickling into the crevices of the hardwood.

The Skinny On Green Irish Tweed By Creed For Men

Green Irish Tweed by Creed is a classic Fougere fragrance. One of the signature scents of the house of Creed, this "walk through the Irish countrywide" is a favorite of many celebrities. The fragrance is rich, fresh, sporty and unforgettable. Like the people of Ireland, there are certain things that they wouldn't forget.

GIT opening is bright - citrusy, green, lush. where terre de hermes channels nature through earthen minerals and leaves, greet Irish tweed channels nature through what i can only describe as fern-like, mossy musk. the drydown comes sooner than i'd like but is equally beautiful, though not as potent. the wafts of mysore, violet, and musk make me feel calm, grounded, but not too serious (if that makes any sense!) the bottle is lovely, however I find the spray itself dispenses more juice than i'd like.

Meet this very fresh scent, good for just out of shower type. I put this on at 6:30 am this morning. It is now 1:30 pm and, after 7 hours, the juice is still going strong. I've read on Basenotes that any lot from 2011 is great. I can only say that this lot is really nice. My comments are completely unsolicited. This is hands down an amazing fragrance. The sillage on this juice is amazing, I can smell it from downstairs when he sprays it upstairs. It is definitely pricey but worth every penny. The package is elegant and it makes you feel like a million bucks. If you want to attract the ladies fellas then I highly recommend Creed Green Irish Tweed.

For the person saying that unless you buy from an authorized Creed retailer then it's fake doesn't have a clue. There are a lot of online retailers that sell genuine Creeds. Creed doesn't want to get rid of these fakes, because it benefits them by making people become paranoid and making statement.  I still own a 4 year old bottle of Creed Silver Mountain Water that smells exactly the same as when I bought it. Creeds don't age faster and have the same shelf life as any other fragrance. They need to make money in the secondary market and this is where Creeds that are sometimes only a year old go to.

Of course Creeds not going to endorse them because they're not authorized Creed dealers which probably costs a fortune. Same can be said about a Rolex or any other high end product. Bottom line is that your not going to get any Creed fragrance for $10 an oz (Ebay). If you would happen to get a fake they is all kinds of information on the internet to see if it's real. Just don't be paranoid and think you have to pay retail prices for something that's sold to the mass market. Common sense people.

Dead Writers Perfume Is Alive And Well

Far too many folks love books, and those who love them. Sometimes we really think that we are talking to those writers by reading their books. Now, some company wants to take this a bit further by creating a scent inspired by the dead writers of our past. Some writers never took a shower because they are too focused on their writing. I doubt many among us want the smell of those creative few.

What would it smell like? It would most likely include black tea, vetiver, clove, musk, vanilla, heliotrope, and tobacco. Which is exactly what's inside J.T. Siems Sweet Tea Apothecary'snew perfume, Dead Writers, a scent that should evoke, "the feeling of sitting in an old library chair paging through yellowed copies of Hemingway, Shakespeare, Fitzgerald, Poe, and more."
It makes us wonder, what would a specifically science fiction writer perfume smell like?
J.T. Siems of Seattle-based perfume company Sweet Tea Apothecary has formulated Dead Writers Perfume, a unisex blend that “evokes the feeling of sitting in an old library chair paging through yellowed copies of Hemingway, Shakespeare, Fitzgerald, Poe, and more.” The copy further reads, it “makes you want to put on a kettle of black tea and curl up with your favorite book.”

This bottle contains black tea, vetiver, clove, musk, vanilla, heliotrope, and tobacco.

Ernest Hemingway: Salt water, rum, coconut and lime, cigar smoke, Spanish wine
F. Scott Fitzgerald: Gin, citrus, oak (prep school, amirite), in a champagne-flute shaped bottle with gold flecks in it

Edgar Allan Poe: Poppies, absinthe, sandalwood, and mold
Flannery O’Connor: Church incense, soap, vanilla, ginger

Sylvia Plath: Freshly washed linen, vanilla, daffodils, lavender
Margaret Mitchell: Musk, magnolia, tea, sugar, gardenia blossoms
Dickens: Cloves, tobacco, patchouli, brandy water, river water
Anne Sexton: Vodka martini, tobacco, lemon verbena, peppermint
