Does Katy Perry’s New ‘Killer Queen’ Perfume Commercial Copy Mrs. Carter? You Decide

There was reports of striking  similarity between Katy Perry's new perfume bottle and the one used by the model Von Teese, but this seems not to end the story.

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so Beyonce should be feeling quite chuffed at the moment. The reason? Katy Perry‘s Killer Queen perfume commercial borrows rather heavily from the R&B icon’s The Mrs. Carter Show world tour promo. Both clips were directed by Swedish maestro Jonas Akerlund, so perhaps he decided to recycle a few ideas or it could just be a straight up tribute.

The Prism diva is, after all, a loud and proud Bey stan. Either way, the comparisons are pretty obvious. Katy and Bey both channel Marie Antoinette and rock gigantic wigs. They are both are depicted getting their corsets tightened and both hold scepters. I guess that leaves the question — who did it best? Watch both clips after the jump and decide for yourself.
