An Alabama woman was seen stealing perfume from the Bloomfield Township Ulta Beauty on Monday, February 18. Not a good year for perfume theft it seems, most of them are getting busted, arrested and then jailed.
Around noon, Bloomfield Township police responded to a call from a local Ulta Beauty regarding a retail fraud which had just occurred at the store. Ulta loss prevention officers reported having seen a woman acting suspicious and hovering around the front of the store near the perfume.
After the woman exited the store, employees noticed a bottle of Daisy Marc Jacobs, Mun Jasmin Noir, Gucci Premiere, Jimmy Choo, valued at $350, missing from the perfume section. Upon reviewing security footage, the woman was seen concealing four bottles of perfume and exiting the store. What's with perfume thieves having the taste for the most expensive brands?
Police are looking for a black female who is around 25 years of age, 150 pounds, and approximately 5 foot 8 inches tall with long dark hair. The woman was seen wearing a black North Face jacket.
Bloomfield Township police are investigating the incident! I am certain she is not the first lady to steal the beauty products, she won't be the last either. But it's sad that even with the tough circumstances, people are willing to jeopardize their freedom in exchange for smelling good.
