Fingerprints examined in Seaford perfume theft

Police are examining fingerprints to try to identify thieves who smashed their way into a Seaford pharmacy to steal bottles of expensive perfume.

At about 3.50am on Wednesday August 14 two people were seen smashing a hole in the shop window of L Cameron and Son in Broad Street before one climbed in and handed out items to the other.

They then left towards Croft Lane with a large quantity of perfume.

The offenders were wearing dark clothing and hoodies.

PC Kelley Matthews said: “We have collected fingerprints left inside the premises and are analysing them to see if they could belong to one of the thieves.

“We are keen to speak to anyone who has been offered any bottles of expensive perfume or fragrance at a low price, or knows of anyone who has suddenly acquired these sort of items.”

Anyone with information should call 101 quoting serial 141 of 14 August or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
