Vera Wang launching new Be Jeweled fragrance

A new perfume from Chinese-American designer Vera Wang is set to go on sale this April.
The latest fragrance offering from Vera Wang aims to capture "the energy and excitement of the perfect girls' night out" according to the brand. Served up in a glamorous glass bottle cut to look like a precious gem, the packaging features imagery inspired by the designer's jewelry.

The scent was created by Yann Vasnier, the nose behind Marc Jacobs Lola (with Calice Becker) and Marc Jacobs Bang. The Frenchman has also recently worked on scents for Tom Ford, Donna Karan and Comme des Garçons.

Opening with pomegranate, red currant, and champagne notes, the perfume's heart is composed of a passion fruit extract with pink honeysuckle and peony. The drydown is musky, with added pink sugar crystals and a rich Australian sandalwood.

The scent will be launching exclusively in the US at Kohl's, in three different eau de parfum sprays: 30 ml ($45.00), 50 ml ($52.00) and 75 ml $68.00.

Wang launched Signature, her first fragrance in 2002, Be Jeweled is the seventh scent signed by the designer, whose lines Princess Vera Wang and Simply Vera Vera Wang are also Kohl's exclusives.

Perfume Markets in China, Not Just Knockoffs Anymore

Most imitation perfumes are made either in China or in its regional rival India. But more and more Chinese companies are vying for a bigger slice in the perfume industry. For crying out loud these people make the top-tier consumer electronics, how hard it is to blend some perfumes. Just do a quick online search and you will run into too many Chinese wholesalers and manufacturer hoping to get you to buy their products.

China’s demand for perfume has grown at a fast pace in the past decade. In the next five years, both production and demand will continue to grow. This is one of China’s economic trends, investment environment, industry development, supply and demand, industry capacity, industry structure, marketing channels and major industry participants.

With perfume sales in much of the rest of the world slowing or declining, the industry, primarily based in Paris and New York, hopes for significant growth in China. The market there remains small, though sales are rising exponentially. Nobody knows the exact growth rate, but Patrick de Lambilly, the vice president for Asia for Coty, says, “You can see 20, 30, and 40 percent a year.”

China's perfume market has been evolving at a fast pace over the previous ten years. This trend will likely continue in the coming five year time horizon, with both production and demand set to keep on posting elevated CAGRs. Factors favoring growth within the national perfume market include the growing scale and tempo of China's urbanization, heightened propensity to spending and greater stress set on personal look and grooming.

The study provides an in-depth assessment of business trends and investment opportunities in China, industry development, supply and demand equilibrium, perfume consumption (by market), industry capacity and structure, distribution channels and manifold market participants. Historical data (2002, 2007 and 2012) and long-run forecasts through to 2017 and 2022 are presented, as well as the leading domestic producers are profiled in the research.

To add to the uncertainty, many in the business say the concept of perfume is so new that a lot of Chinese consumers are, in fact, not buying a perfume but rather the brand to which a bottle of perfume happens to be attached. “China is about brand, brand, brand,” Mr. de Chaudenay said.

Growing Up With The Love Of Perfumes

When I was 12 years old, I walked the half-mile to the neighborhood drugstore. I spent my complete month’s allowance on a bottle of the year’s popular cologne. It was an excessive but poignant Christmas present for my mother and I purchased it weeks in advance, painstakingly carrying it home and leaving it wrapped and unattended on a bookshelf.

I impatiently anticipated the holiday. My younger brother, just 4 years old, couldn't resist the attraction. One late afternoon I came across the present on my bedroom floor, it's bottle shattered, its box unwrapped. Heaven Scent by Helena Rubenstein spilled carelessly on the floorboards, trickling into the crevices of the hardwood.

Prepare for the Zombie Apocalypse

The United States is obsessed with zombies, there has been so much talk about them and people think they are real. They are on TV, in movie theater (World War Z) and eating some homeless man in Florida.
A fragrance company is now capitalizing on the niche, there are people who want to survive the zombie attacks and they would stop at nothing to do just that. One company knows that Z-Day preparedness is important, so they pitched in.

Fragrance company Demeter makes the most of what was relatively a small niche of specialized fragrances. Their latest offerings are these zombie scented perfumes for men and women.

The Zombie for Him fragrance is formulated with the scent of dried leaves, mushrooms, mildew, moss, and earth. In short, you’ll smell like a decomposing corpse once you spray this on. Zombie for Her is a “A slightly lighter version of the Men’s fragrance with a touch of Dregs from the bottom of the wine barrel for that feminine touch.”

A 1 oz. spray sells for $20, while the 4 oz. bottle sells for $39.50. Since they’re only going to be available through April 30, you might want to stock up for the zombie apocalypse.
I’d run out and get this, but people tell me I already smell like death.

Everyone will soon have bottle of one of Demeter’s Zombie fragrances, promises to “make the dead simply pass by without offending.” The perfume works by masking your natural human scent. But if your natural scent smells like a zombie, then you need not to purchase this fragrance.

Whether the eau de toilette actually works will be revealed during the looming apocalypse, but the spritz is no joke: Demeter also makes fragrances that smell like Play-Doh, Clean Windows, Bourbon, and Holy Water. No scent is off-limits, so the smell of barely-dead bodies shouldn't seem all that surprising.

Get this, a perfume has already been pitched for the popular show maker "The Walking Dead". If created, this would affect the marketing of this unique product.

"Sinner" Peccatrice Eau de Parfum by Hilde Soliani

Italian artist, as well as dedicated creative gourmet, Hilde Soliani launched a new perfume called Peccatrice (Sinner). It is inspired by a trip she made to Sicily and the scents and colors she encountered there.

Why, you might ask, a central allusion to sin for this innocently gustatory composition? It might be an allusion to an Italian film which has been translated in English as "The Good Bad Girl" ...

"Picture yourself on a terrace overlooking the sparkling sea, with a glass of Prosecco in your hand and all the time in the world. This fresh mix of unusual notes has a relaxed elegance that makes it easy to wear and easy to love."

According to the ad copy on Luckyscent.com where it is available (Price: $160 for 100 ml & $4 for a 0.7 ml sample),

Fragrance For Life What Would Yours Be?

It's the painful question, but most of us have the one fragrance we cannot live without. Most celebrities and non celebrities would have their own too. Though many of them seem to agree on one fragrance. Fashion fades, but style stays the same.

Next to the fragrance they endorse, promote, market or make, they would probably keep the one that is really my go-to, my Coco Chanel fragrance… this is probably the one they wear about 80-90% of the time. Maybe because of it's classic and timeless stature and it's unique smell that no has has ever managed to rival. After all, A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.

What would be you said in perfume?

Spring Is Here, Are You?

Do you know anybody who hates fragrance? I know many people in this world, nice and mean but none of them could ever say they do not like scents.

It’s true—we all love fragrances, even if we don’t know a lot about them. And with the warmer weather approaching we’re looking to not only make over our wardrobes, but our library of perfumes as well. Everyone likes to smell good stuff--we may disagree on what's a good scent and what's not, but we all have some trigger scent. Even the most evil figures of history have their favorites.

The great thing about this time of the year--not if you have allergies, is that Spring is in the air. You can tell because a sort of excitement is wafting up and around those of us who are sick and tired of the cold winter blues. We’re all daydreaming about the scent of freshly cut grass, crisp air, and aromatic flowers—spring scents.

I know here in Washington DC, we are all about the world famous Cherry Blossom. A gift from the emperor of Japan to the capital of the nation, this month we will see the most gorgeous color of the year--pink. Tourists come from all over the world to enjoy the scent and the scene as they walk/drive pass the monuments.

Zegna channels its heritage to create Essenze fragrance quintet

Aramis and Designer Fragrances is set to introduce the upscale Essenze by Ermenegildo Zegna men's fragrance collection to the travel retail channel. It will be available in Dubai International Airport and New York JFK International Airport from April. More locations will be added globally throughout 2013.

Inspired by The Ermenegildo Zegna Couture Collection, Essenze by Ermenegildo Zegna comprises five scents, each of which is composed around one signature raw material with its own unique provenance. In addition, a special Italian bergamot, known as Zegna Bergamot (from Calabria), features within the juice of all five fragrances.

The house of Ermenegildo Zegna has sourced the bergamot crop from a single field planted and harvested for the sole purpose of creating Essenze. This echoes the way the brand guarantees the quality of its wool, by owning its own sheep farms. The Zegna bergamot is also a component within the brand’s new Uomo fragrance, which is being launched this spring.

The Essenze by Ermenegildo Zegna fragrances were composed by Pierre Negrin, Frank Voelkl, Harry Fremont and Jacques Cavallier. Italian Bergamot is the lead scent in the collection. Its key ingredients include bergamot oil, neroli, rosemary and vetiver.

As its name suggests, Sicilian Mandarin features mandarin, Zegna bergamot, spearmint, petitgrain and moss. “Mandarin is the most complex citrus with an almost juicy floralcy,” noted Fremont. “I wanted to showcase the natural mandarin and counterbalance it with modern musks and captive molecules.”

Javanese Patchouli includes notes of bergamot, pink pepper, Tonka bean and cedar wood, while Indonesian Oud is crafted around oud wood, amber, rose and patchouli. Lastly, Florentine Iris blends three iris varieties, complemented by bergamot, jasmine, violet and musk.

Each fragrance is presented in a contemporary glass bottle, adorned with a custom fabric label complete with corresponding coloured border which reflects the key notes within each scent.

L’Eau du 34 By Diptyque Steels The Spring Show

Even if you can't experience Paris when the spring air hits and the flora and fauna bloom (but for those of you who can, we envy you), Diptyque has bottled it for a new fragrance, L’Eau du 34.

A lively interpretation of the original 34 Boulevard Saint Germain, the new fragrance captures the essence of the original boutique interpreting the time when the weather changes and the greenest notes take over from the warmer and more sensual notes of 34 Boulevard Saint Germain.

The unisex scent is reminiscent of the brand's first fragrance, l’Eau, and mixes strong citruses with muted aromatic notes. Bitter orange, verbena, grapefruit, and lavender dance with nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, and blackcurrant to evoke the atmosphere and mood of the changing season on 34 Boulevard Saint Germain, the address of the company's original boutique.

Comes in 100mL (3.38 fl.oz.) and 50mL (1.69 fl.oz.) bottles for $100 and 3.4oz for $135 and is available at diptyqueparis.com.

Shakira in Paris for Launch of S At Sephora Champs Elysees

Shakira rocks head-to-toe black as she arrives to her S by Shakira perfume launch held at Sephora Champs-Elysees on Wednesday (March 27) in Paris, France.

“Paris’s Champs-Élysées is looking pretty busy. for the S by Shakira fragrance launch at @Sephora!” the 36-year-old entertainer’s Twitter account read before the launch. “The first signature! #SbyShakira #Paris”

Behind her on the picture you can see the original Shakira S (2010) on your left and its flanker, Shakira S Eau Florale (2011) on your right. The event is part of a delayed international roll-out as S debuted in the United States three years ago.

The fact that the reason for this mega PR campaign is belated news if you consider your source to be the internet, did not prevent crowds from assembling on the Champs-Elysées to welcome the star as she stepped into the flagship Sephora store where the two scents are now exclusively available.

In the United-States, her latest perfume is actually S by Shakira Aquamarine this year preceded last year by Elixir.

Earlier in the day, Shakira waved as she headed inside Le Bourget Airport after flying in for the launch.

Banned! An “overtly sexual” ad for CK One fragrances

All good things in life eventually get banned, what a buzz kill, even Europe has limits when it comes to creativity. I love how fragrance ads seem to link their product and orgies.

An “overtly sexual” ad for CK One fragrances showing a woman straddling a man while he touches her breasts has been banned from being shown when children might be watching.

The TV ad for the Coty UK-owned fragrance brand featured a group of young people including topless men and women dressed in hot pants and bra tops dancing.

A voiceover stated: “CK One, the original shared fragrance … CK One Shock, daring fragrances for him and her.”

Twenty one viewers complained the scene showing the embrace was “overtly sexual” and would cause offence and that it was not suitable for broadcast at times of the day when children would be watching. Some viewers complained the ad aired during family films.

The Advertising Standards Authority ruled the ad was “briefly overtly sexual” and acknowledged it might be “distasteful” to some but was unlikely to cause serious or widespread offence to most viewers if scheduled appropriately.

The watchdog ruled however, the ad was inappropriately scheduled and should have an ex-kids restriction before airing again.

Coty UK says the ad was a re-edited version of an ad which had aired previously which meant more flesh was visible. The company also said the ad was designed to “reflect the young and edgy spirit” of the brand, not to cause offence.

Clearcast, which cleared the ad to air with no time restrictions said the scene attracting complaints “was fleeting and was too quick for them to notice, so they had not recognized the potential issue with the ad”.

Coty UK fell foul of the advertising watchdog for similar offence in 2010 when an ad starring Beyonce promoting her own fragrance was deemed “unsuitable for kids”.

Femalefirst's Perfume Picks And Quick Reviews

The fun and youthful Lovestruck by Vera Wang (It smells clean and a bit fruity, the guava is the most dominant. The musk and the lotus smells gorgeous. The dry down is sweet and musky.).
It's hard not to fall in love with the bottle. Decorate your dressing table even when it's empty.

Nina Ricci's Nina is favored (This is so sexy, it brings the boys to the yard. It's my signature "going out" scent, it's a bit much for everyday wear. It's a sweet apple scent, similar to DKNY Be Delicious but much more interesting).

Very Irresistible by Givenchy. (I - and my husband - love this fragrance! I've been stopped so many times by complete strangers to ask what fragrance I'm wearing because they like it. It's a fairly light scent)

Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue (Balmy, lemony citrus with fresh green accords and some white floral thrown in for good measure. It totally conjures up thoughts of the coastal Italy, the beach, summer, etc for me. When I use this, I think of a perfect romantic vacation. )

Paco Rabanne Lady Million EDP 30ml (iI comes of quite sweet on my skin with a bitter edge to it. Slightly musky but not overwhelmingly so. I like the design of the bottle too, it looks like a huge diamond and sits prettily on my vanity table)
Gucci by Gucci. (beautiful, delicious, feminine fragrance I have ever smelled. It's very soft for daytime but warm and lightly spiced so evening would be good too. Men should like it because it's not flowery.)

The classic scent that will still be adored for years to come. Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel. released in 2001 Coco Mademoiselle is marketed to women in their 20s and 30s, leaving Chance to the younger crowd, and Coco and No. 5 to the more mature, I guess. For me, the real curse of Coco Mademoiselle is the musk in its base. I like musk in general, but the last couple of years’ new releases have taught me I don’t like, at all, the bug spray-like musk infesting such fragrances as Lanvin Rumeur, Dolce Gabbana The One, and even Guerlain Idylle.

Charles Krafft, Perfume Art Project And Nazism

 {Perfume & Art}

"Last month, an article by Jen Graves in Seattle’s weekly paper The Stranger exposed the artist Charles Krafft as a white nationalist and Holocaust denier, and former admirers of his work are now stripping it from their walls...
Krafft, who is sixty-five, has been a respected figure in the Seattle art world for decades; his work has been shown in galleries around the world and featured in Harper’s, Artforum, and The New Yorker. Since the nineties, he has been known for combining decorative ceramics with loaded political imagery—delftware plates and other objects commemorating Nazi atrocities, porcelain AK-47s and hand grenades, perfume bottles with swastika stoppers, and a teapot and other pieces in the shape of Hitler’s head. In the past, many art collectors and curators had interpreted this work as a critique of bigoted and totalitarian ideologies.

Now, the revelations about Krafft’s repugnant personal opinions have cast his work in a new light, and brought up knotty questions about how an artist’s intent should influence our evaluation of his work. We have precedents for heinous personal beliefs coinciding with creative brilliance (Ezra Pound, Richard Wagner), and bigotry embodied in works of great formal achievement (“The Birth of a Nation,” “Triumph of the Will”), but this is an unusual case of an artist’s ideological extremism so suddenly exposed, and so plainly relevant to his art."

Perfume In Your Pants And Your Coffee!

Thieves are the same everywhere, they like to steal high end items that can bring them some cash on the street. One Nebraska crook, was old fashioned about his theft.

Store security attempted to contact a shoplifting suspect after he concealed several bottles of perfume in his pants and left the store without paying. When confronted, he dropped the perfume and ran from the area.

Get this, not only was he seen and approached by security, he left without his loath.

Another crime with a funny twist, Police received a call from Whitcomb House (somewhere in Massachusetts  from someone who said a co-worker had emptied perfume into her coffee. Say what you want, but some like their coffees scented, and some like it Irish.

Dita Von Teese And Her Surprising Place To Spritzes Perfume

“I’m a bit of a fragrance and lingerie snob,” Von Teese tells PEOPLE of her decision to market her lines to a wider audience on HSN. “Every woman should have luxury in her everyday life.”

She has been knwon for over the top lingerie lines, but now he also applied the same goal of wearable luxury to her fragrances (Dita Von Teese and Rouge). She designed the former after her boyfriend told her that her signature scent was also the one his mother wore; the latter is a sweeter scent that, she says, is fun for daytime.

As for the surprising place where she spritz her fragrance “from the back of the knees down” since her feet are at about face height with the audience.

Von Teese’s fragrance starts at $20. Check out both when they debut on HSN on March 17.

"Layered with bright florals, citrus and musk for a dazzling lift of life, the fragrance plays upon the skin the way light plays upon the bottle. It dances and shifts in olfactory notes that vary throughout the day. Humid Florida Where Perfume Theft Is Common

Forts are supposed to be safe and secure, but one thief is giving Fort Myers a bad name as he stole some scent from this otherwise a a very safe community.

FORT MYERS -
Florida Lee county Sheriff's deputies are searching for a man who they say has stolen from the Ulta store at Bell Tower twice in the past several weeks. Ulta is no strangers to theft, they are target often and they have an established system for such incidents where thieves with high taste seek to establish new currency in the underground. For real, flee markets are one of the places where such stolen goods turn up.

Deputies were called to the store on February 23rd and 27th and told by a store manager that the same man had entered the store and walked to the men's fragrance section, selected several fragrances, concealed them in his clothing, and walked out of the store without paying.

Bulgari Man Extreme Fragrance Hires Eric Bana

I have always considered Eric Bana to be a modern man for classic style, the actor always comes across as a well-dresser and a guy who is big on fashion without looking like he has been trying too hard.

He will be the front man for the collection of Bvlgari Man that was in 2010. After the original perfume, limited edition Bvlgari Man The Silver Limited Edition with silver stripes on transparent glass was introduced – it depicts charisma of a modern man who chooses this sensual fragrant composition.

The Munich actor has sniffed out a plum gig as the face of Bulgari's new fragrance, Bulgari Man Extreme, making his debut in a series of sexy print and video ads that evoke a glamorous, Old World feel with a hint of Fellini-esque flair.

The promotional ads have been shot in Rome, the campaign features images photographed by Peter Lindbergh and video filmed by Cannes-winning director Matteo Garrone (Gomorrah) set amid the city's grand, ancient architecture.

As for the scent itself, the company describes Bulgari Man Extreme as a "woody fresh fragrance" with notes of Calabrian bergamot, cactus and pink grapefruit.

The new composition is signed by perfumer Alberto Morillas, who created the successors as well - Bvlgari Man and Bvlgari Man The Silver Limited Edition. The fragrance arrives in silver flacon and silver-black outer packaging. It is available as 60 and 100ml eau de toilette. The new fragrance--which Bana will promote will be presented in 2013 as the extreme version aimed at men who desire new sensual experience.

The character is very similar to the original Bvlgari Man, but a bit warmer witout losing the fresh/watery notes. It certainly projects a lot better (at least during the first couple of hours) and the longevity is greatly improved as well (I found the original to be very short lived).

This has always been a very good choice for office and professional environments given that one is light on the trigger. I see this as a very versatile perfume as I think it will work equally good for daytime and nightime/formal occasions.

If you liked the original, you will certainly like this one - Bvlgari Man enthusiasts you can safely blind-buy this :-). Overall, this is some seriously good stuff from Bvlgari

Not Kidding! Nicki Minaj Designed Couture Clothes For Her Perfume Bottles!

Being weird in pop is good, it sells! You know this because most best selling pop stars know how to stay in the news by changing the hair color, wearing something strange and such. This is why such stories do not come as a surprise especially as we know comes to beauty products, pretty packaging is everything.

And now that celebrity fragrances are a dime a dozen these days, creative marketing and a little social media push straight from the star can go a long way. The news were shared via twitter.

And leave it to Nicki Minaj to do just that! The star recently revealed on Twitter her newest set of perfume bottles: miniature busts featuring a few of the fashion looks she's so well known for.

That something special wasn’t the Freaks video, which is coming on Thursday. It was special couture ensembles to dress up her Pink Friday perfume bottles, which are busts of herself. All three outfits are part of her Couture by Minaj collection, which is totally a thing now, and are inspired by some of her most iconic looks.

007's New Caribbean-inspired Fragrance

Underwater agent: 007's new Caribbean-inspired fragrance

Whether he's driving his Lotus Esprit S1 into the water off the coast of Sardinia or emerging out of the ocean in La Perla swimming trunks in the Bahamas, Bond is no stranger to tropical tides. So it comes as no surprise that the spy's latest fragrance takes inspiration from the sun-drenched seas surrounding the Caribbean. The new edition of their long standing line of fragrance hits the stores and it comes with an oceany twist.

The bottle is probably the coolest thing about it. It comes in a steel mesh kind of design with a mesh cap attached around it, I'm guessing this is to represent a gun. You open the top by twisting the sides which slides the mesh cap down to reveal the nozzle. A very cool bottle cap in my opinion. I believe I will buy this in the gold version because like Bond, it seems classy and masculine with a sweet "twist"

The apple is so obvious and the whole thing reminds azzaro silver black. The other perfume that this reminds as time goes by is la nuit de l'homme, with its lavender and sweetness.

The sillage and longevity are above average and the price very reasonable. It is a nice job but nothing ground breaking or classy at the extent of James Bond. The perfume is masculine and has something old fashioned but in the modern masculine way and is not powdery at all. For the lovers of Hugo Boss perfumes, the lovers of la nuit de l'homme and Silver black, worth checking out this one...

With fresh top notes of lime, aniseed and bergamot, Ocean Royale's masculine undercurrent is anchored with a base of teak and cedar woods, tonka bean and Jamaican coffee. Light and versatile, our only criticism is that the bottle doesn't convert into submarine.

Available now exclusively at Harrods. £32 for 75ml.

Recessions In, Perfume Out! The Stinky Recession

High unemployment, poverty and spending cuts, lead to the path of austerity. Since 2008 arrived and the economy around the globe has not being  where it should be. The less money we have, the less we spend on things that make us smell fresh.

Worldwide, the perfume market was one of the cosmetics and hygiene products' categories that took the most beating during the recession, all along of consumers focusing their expenditures on prime necessities.

However, things are getting back to normal, and people are backing to smelling their best. And that's great news for perfume companies. Today, the industry is back to healthy growth track, with the potential to flourish in the foreseeable future.

The Skinny On Mary Greenwell Plum

It is somehow human nature to think if there is something out there that you cannot easily get it must be great. When there is a limited edition fragrance exclusive to a store hundreds of miles away, or on another continent, we believe this mysterious elixir to be THE ONE! If only we could find it close to home. If only I could try this I could lie down a happy person. Such is the pull of the seemingly unobtainable. Mary Green is an Icon and Make up Artist to Princess Diana and a wealth of beautiful models and celebrities. Her first fragrance Plum is a gorgeous fragrance created by 4th generation perfumer Francois Robert.

A seductive, deeply nuanced perfume that floats gently on the skin and leaves a bubble of femininty and seductiveness without the overpowering musk or overly sweet notes that dominate the current market. It is a timeless fragrance,

The short answer is Mary Greenwell Plum is not a chypre by any way I understand the term. It is in my way of categorizing things a straight-up fruity floral. When it comes to that category it is a very good example of a fruity floral done correctly. As a reviewer I had to let go of some of the, to my mind, overheated praise and judge it based on everything else. With that qualifier Mary Greenwell succeeds as a fruity floral and fails completely as a chypre. Depending on what you are expecting, fruity floral or chypre, will tilt the way you feel about Mary Greenwell Plum.

Mary Greenwell Plum has outstanding longevity and above average sillage. PLUM is everything I'm looking for in a perfume. It deserves its name as it starts and continues with a delicious juicy plum note only to be deepened and enriched by well-blended white florals. I honestly had low expectations for this due to the recent negative reviews. But NO! This is just beautiful beyond words. I almost feel drunk when I smell this on my skin! Highly recommended for plum lovers who can also tame those big white floral  10 out of 10 is what many have given it. I really liked the early going of Mary Greenwell Plum and wished they had never used the words chypre in their description because it created expectations. As it is Mary Greenwell Plum is an excellent fruity floral and if you love those kind of fragrances it is worth seeking out. If you are looking for a modern chypre I would advise against looking for it here.

Georgia May Jagger Strips For Just Cavalli Women's Fragrance

The launch of the new Just Cavalli women's fragrance signed by the renowned Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli caused a stir as the designer is known for his love for everything that helps underline femininity.

To promote his new scent, Roberto Cavalli tapped bombshell Georgia May Jagger and the result of their collaboration proved worthy of the highest praise. The youngest daughter of Jerry Hall and Mick Jagger exudes sex appeal that works wonders on the camera, so no wonder that she's been picked by the fashion guru to be the face for his newest Just Cavalli perfume.

The fragrance which mesmerizes through its coolness and femininity reveals a floral symphony that will turn you into an addict from the first time your olfactory senses will meet the irresistible top note of neroli, tahitian tiare flower (middle note) and palisander rosewood as base notes. Apparently, the 'sexy juice' was designed to snatch the attention of a younger target, thus the brand is making sure to expand its boundaries and attract women of various ages with its products.

"You know I love women very much. For the woman wearing my fragrance, I’m just afraid for myself. I cannot control myself", said Roberto Cavalli in an interview for WWD at the launch of the fragrance, so prepare to be swept away by the sexy yet delicate scent the brand proposes for the new season.

The scent seems to exude that 'je ne sais quoi' that Georgia May Jagger exudes as Roberto Cavalli said about the fresh face of the fragrance that :
“She represented the kind of woman that I would like to have for my dresses. If I closed my eyes while creating Just Cavalli, I would see her- sexy, but not vulgar. Delicate with a sweet smile.”
For the ad campaign, Georgia May Jagger channeled her inner goddess and posed seductively laying down and rocking only a pair of sizzling snakeskin print trousers. The foxy daughter of Rolling Stones rocker Sir Mick puts in a top performance under the sheets – judging by Marlon Teixera’s reaction. The couple writhe around in the semi-buff in the promos for Just Cavalli perfume.

The scent created by Fabrice Pellegrin and Nathalie Lorson has been characterized and a seductive sexy floral scent, so if you're looking for a new signature scent give this new 'concotion' a try. For more of the models' picture on set, please visit here Note, the male model contorts his face in an expression of blissful agony.

The adorable fragrance will be available in three sizes, 1 oz. EDT ($45), 1.7 oz. EDT ($60) and 2.5 oz. EDT ($75). Along with the fragrances a 5.1 oz. body lotion ($35) will also be available, so give the new scent a try and see if it has the power to top your current favorite fragrance.

Happy National Fragrance Day!

Today is the time to celebrate all things that smell sensational. It's National Fragrance Day! Yes, this is a real things, this is the same day when Spring arrives--with that comes all fresh and natural scents--it's freaking cold here in DC now. It's also the day some nations mark Mother's Day.

The annual holiday promotes scents of all sorts, including perfumes, cologne, scented candles, soaps, lotions and potpourri. So pick some flowers, stop by Bath & Body Works, spritz some perfume -- anything that tickles your nose with a fantastic fragrance. Get ready America, this is one of the best and most scented holidays ever.

If you don't get a chance to celebrate, there will be another opportunity in June, when fragrance week is held. So mark your calender, to go shopping on that day.

So treat yourself to a bottle of new perfume or body mist. A spritz of good quality perfume on pulse points like the inner side of the wrist, the crook of the arm, the area behind the earlobes, and the collarbone should be enough to keep you smelling good through the day.Otherwise, bake a batch of cookies or homemade bread and enjoy the aroma.

How Perfume Smell Can Get You In Trouble With Your Lady

Newsflash, do not come near women who have a unique scent if you have a jealous partner at home.

A Chandler (Arizona) woman was arrested after she was accused of attacking her boyfriend after she found a hair tie that did not belong to her.

Trina Ranae Elgo, 29, told police she became upset Wednesday after she found the hair tie and said she could smell another woman’s perfume on her boyfriend.

Police said that Elgo began yelling at her boyfriend and scratching at his face and neck at their residence in the 100 block of West Fairview St. There were scratch marks on the man’s chest and back, according to a court document.

Elgo was arrested and will face an assault charge, police said.

Gwyneth Paltrow Gives Some Perfume Tips

Gwyneth Paltrow need no intro in the world of perfumes. The actress has always been into scent; she started with  Anaïs Anaïs, to pass through her Calyx and Coco Chanel phase. She even recalls her own mother's scent, the fresh jasmine Quadrille by Balenciaga. But gone are those days of simplicity as Gwyneth Paltrow is all about "something a little more complex," just like Boss Nuit, of which she is course promoting and marketing.

Know this, Gwyneth Paltrow owns fifty perfume bottles, wears a different fragrance by night, and scents her bathrooms with lilies. Also when she is pregnant, she parts away from anything perfumed. But to say Paltrow is big into perfume is an understatement.

On her favorite spot to perfume, I just spray a little on my left arm, press it against my right arm, and then dab behind my ears." She also does something else, I consider unique, she switching between day and night fragrances, Paltrow goes for Boss Nuit, which she describes as "feminine and alluring."

On a final note, Paltrow may be one of the ones who knows her fashion and fragrance style, but she says if you really want confidence, "know yourself. It's the key ingredient to empowering yourself; know your voice and be really, really true to yourself. That's key to how I want to live the second half of my life."

Christian Audigier Ed Hardy Deluxe Collection Set

Don't have to decide right away, put if being wild and going your own route, is your thing. You need to whiff Christian Audigier Ed Hardy Deluxe Collection Set. I might be right for your use, and would also be ideal for travel.

  1. Ed Hardy Deluxe Collection Perfume for Women 4 Pc Gift Set ( Eau De Parfum Spray 0.25 Oz Of Ed Hardy (It's mango, flower and a hint of leather. It's fresh and full. Classified as tropical, I always think that tropical fragrances are going to smell like a basketful of over-ripe fruit.),
  2. Love & Luck (Ed Hardy Love & Luck is refreshing and citrusy! Crisp bergamot, juicy blood orange, sweet peach, a cool twist of vodka, fresh cedar, spicy black currant, with a hint of pink pepper, and plum to a dry down of very subtle patchouli, jasmine, and sandalwood.),
  3. Hearts & Daggers (This surprised me in a good way. Much better than what I was expecting. Very fruity but not sickeningly sweet or cloying. Nice, pleasant, casual and very wearable. Super fresh! Almost reminds me of Juicy Fruit chewing gum! Yum!)
  4. Born Wild (Ed Hardy Born Wild is mouthwatering. It's fruity without being tangy/sour, and has a little soft floral on top. A little squirt goes a long way, and the scent lasts a long time.) )

There is a nice amount of variety in this scent. All four of them smell very different from each other so there is something for every mood. Package came on time and in great shape. Would make a good gift.

The packaging is beautiful, and would be a welcome gift. As another reviewer noted, there is a nice variety of scents for different moods and occasions. My favorite so far is Hearts and Daggers, with Love and Luck, Born Wild and Ed Hardy following. Since I don't drown myself in perfume normally, the sizes are just

Jessica Chastain From Torture To Perfume Manifesto

She may stared in a movie about torturing people, but now her fans are being tortured by another mean. She has made torture sexy and now she wants to cash in as the YSL perfume she fronts is being promoted.
Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain posed with her own YSL perfume ad while in Paris and, being the gracious goddess that she is, shared the picture on Facebook.

Alongside the picture, she wrote, "Ok here's pic of me geeking out on my YSL campaign. I was in Paris for fashion week and look what I stumbled upon! It was as tall as a building! It was super embarrassing but I had to jump out of my car and seize the moment. I mean, how many times does a girl get a billboard over the Seine River!?! It's so lovely and I wanted to share it with you all.

Manifesto is now available in the U.S., it's such a gorgeous scent - jasmine is my favorite and it's the thread of the perfume.
Just for good measure and in case you needed a recap of this post, we'll say it once more: Jessica Chastain is adorable.

Understand From Top To Base Notes Perfumes!

Before any scent can be chosen, the buyer must understand exactly what it is that they are purchasing. One of the easiest ways to understand an aroma is to break it down by the different notes of the scent. “Notes” is just a fancy way of describing the fragrance at its different points of potency. Most people who know perfumes or like to pretend they do speak of those notes of scales. Fragrantica.com outlines the different notes as follows;
  1. Top notes: What you smell immediately upon applying your product. It's the scent that first hits your nose, but then evaporates quickly.
  2. Middle notes: Emerge as the top notes are dissipating and make up the majority of the scent.
  3. Base notes: Richer and are not often detected until you've been wearing a scent for at least 20 to 30 minutes. These notes provide depth and back up the middle notes to create the overriding theme of the scent.
By helping their customers understand the different notes that make up a scent and the category they belong to, the company hopes to make finding the perfect scent an easy and pleasant experience for first time fragrance buyers.

The Floral/fruity Perfumes Are Most Popular Category

Now I am beginning to understand why most fragrance companies go the fruit and floral route

The floral/fruity category will make buying a first fragrance easiest for newcomers because they are known to compliment most people fairly well. Statistics on BankRate.com name the floral category "the largest and most popular category" among all competitors. Floral notes typically include: Iris, rose, jasmine, gardenia, plum, apple, pear, and berry.

If buyers enjoy scents from the floral category it is also likely that they will share that fondness with scents in the citrus family as well. These aromas are full of life and energy and are perfect for daytime wear. Notes most commonly include: lemon, orange, bergamot, grapefruit or mandarin, with other aromatic and tart notes for men and floral notes for women.

It's all about marketing , research and what you--the consumer desire. Anyone else who strays from those principles, is not going for mass market.

Reviewing The Estee Lauder Mini Bottles Perfume Set

Cannot make up your mind on what perfume to get? Not sure if the person you want to give a perfume to as a gift likes a certain fragrance? No need to panic, go with the set. This gift set includes 5 of your favorite Estee Lauder Fragrances: Beautiful Love EDP 4.7ml, Beyond Paradise EDP 4ml, Sensuous EDP 4ml, Pure White Linen EDP 4ml, Pleasures EDP 4ml Fragrances include notes of fresh cut flowers rose jasmine and carnation. With fruity notes of citrus melon peach and plum; citrus and florals with lower notes of sweet woods and vanilla; fresh florals including jasmine rose berry moss and amber

I pretty much only purchase Estee Lauder perfumes and I tell anyone that will buy perfume for me as a gift that this is all I wear. I purchased this product on a flight to the Caribbean a few years ago. I love Estee Lauder so this was perfect for me. I travel quite a bit for pleasure and I always like to smell nice when I get where I am going. Since you cannot take anything over 3 oz. on a flight for carryon, this is the perfect size for traveling.

For those who  love to experiment with perfumes, and this great collection of Estee Lauder mini bottles has scents you may have used or samples before and longed to use again. You get to try them all including Pleasures before, and now that I've actually worn it for a few days, it's become a new favorite that I'll certainly purchase for myself.

This is an amazing find. My wife loves Estee Lauder and especially loves the mini collections. To find this set was a stroke of luck. It was in great condition. The package wasn't even open and the seller was very prompt with mailing it. It will be the perfect Christmas gift.

On the plus side, the TSA won't throw those away from your carry on. The bottles are a little smaller than they appear online, but this is a good bargain for the price. I like having a variety of scents to wear from day to day, and this makes that possible w/o having to purchase bigger bottle of each scent.

Fishing With Dynamite! PherX Pheromone Cologne for Men

Warning: be nice, kind and loving. But also dress well and have confidence. For all the others, there are

pheromones, the naturally occurring chemicals that send out subconscious scent signals to the opposite sex that trigger very powerful sexual responses.

The men of the internet are talking up a product that goes by the name PherX Phermone, which is an 18mg blend of Androstadienone, Androstenol, Androstenone and Androsterone Pheromone
PherX contains the highest concentration of Pure Human Pheromones available. Supposdely, it has been developed by Doctors of Biology and Pharmacology. It comes in a 1oz (30ml) Bottle - Approximately 200 sprays.

So, I tried this product. Everyone around me was much nicer and my husband was all touchy feely which I really like. Is it effective enough to get into someone pants? Maybe not. I think it works well if you are in a relationship or are dating. Its scent is very relaxing. I like the scent so much, I don't wear my own perfumes when wearing this cologne. However, a friend of mine had this to say about the product.

So I have tried Pheromone products in the past and never really saw any results. Today I tried PherX for the first time and I have to say I am really pleased with the results. I rarely have any success with the ladies but this stuff was magic. I picked up to girls in the city and got numbers. For me that has never happened before so I have to say this stuff works. The product doesn't really have a smell so I wouldn't suggest just using it as a cologne but if you are looking for that extra edge I would have to say order a bottle of this stuff asap. Granted, this may not be entirely from the cologne.. I did notice a lot more eye contact from around the room more so than usual. I am so far satisfied with my purchase. I ended the night with getting a phone number and my friends jealous of me.
I cannot confirm for sure that the product works, but I feel that women feel an increased attraction to me while wearing the product. It might be that when you spray it on, you feel you are irresistible and that shows confidence--a very sexy trait.  I notice women checking me out more often and I feel an increase in confidence while wearing. Once again I cannot confirm for sure, it may just be psychological, but at the end of the day the product certainly doesn't hurt or ruin your chances with the opposite sex.

Nabil Hayari Presents Goldy, The Perfume

First, the "scent"sational  Hayari Paris is the private label of Nabil Hayari who was drawn to the world of fashion from a very early age. Nabil decided to create his own label in 2009, with the aim of bringing to life the type of gowns which women have always dreamed of wearing. His expertise has enabled him to create exquisite designs, dressing top models and princesses. To take his creations a step further, Nabil associates them with the jewelry of Peter Lang, who himself works with celebrities such as Nicole Kidman, Kylie Minogue, Pink and Beyonce Knowles.

His latest product is also their newest fragrance Goldy, which is for sale exclusively at C.O. Bigelow & Company pharmacy in the West Village and on their site.

Floral and powdery, GOLDY will reveal the « femme fatale » within you. Goldy smells like fresh magnolias to me and my untrained nose so I adore it, but it's official description is that it is supposed to have a "warm powdery" scent with a "woody glow." Also check out Hiyari's two other phenomenal scents while you are lingering in Bigelow.

This unique fragrance from Hayari Paris evokes both elegance and extravagance, two aspects of the female personality which, rather than clashing, blend together to create a unique, rich and precious charm. According to Nabil Hayari, GOLDY is the fragrance of the most beautiful evening gowns, adding an ultimate, irresistible touch, like a secret that shimmers above the velvety yet dazzling atmosphere of the most prestigious red carpet events.

If elegance is where you want to be headed, then Goldy should be on your itinerary.

With Hawaiian Ruby Guava Pacifica The Beach Comes To You

I am a fan of Pacifica fragrances, my favorite being Tuscan Blood Orange. I originally bought Ruby Guava for my mother, who was in search of a new fragrance when her long-time Sula one was discontinued.

I ended up keeping it for myself! Light, airy, and the coconut is a nice ground, even when I'm not usually a fan of "tropical" scents. It's definitely stronger than my Blood Orange but doesn't irritate my sinuses or stir up my allergies. The scent is very nice. It is a lovely combination of coconut and guava. Light and not overpowering. Very nice summer fragrance. Will definitely order from this seller again.

Hawaiian Ruby Guava by Pacifica is a fragrance for women and men. Top note is pomelo; middle note is guava; base note is coconut.

It's a DELICIOUS, intensely tropical scent that seems to "read" differently to various people. I smell gorgeous pink grapefruit; my lover detects oranges; various friends have noted mango, lime, and other tropical essences. Maybe we're just not familiar enough with pomelo or guava here in the States? No matter: I'll happily sniff this tart, exotic fragrance all day long!

If you are a beach bum whose taste include juicy burst of guava, fresh and fruity. It quickly dries down to white floral-coconut combo. Summery daytime scent, light, 1 hour max and it's gone
