Chosing a New Spring Fragrance, 4 Tips

Spring has arrived, and I loving this energy that all of sudden emerges in people this time of the year--it's like all of us are sun worshipers. Last thing you need is to make waves in the bad way due to your scent. One must picks the right fragrance and never overdo it. I liked the ocean family, then I moved to the spring and fresh citrus. Never was big on Vanilla, but in the winter time, I use toe spicy and wood scent--bad idea for the summer.

No one is immune it's so easy to make a mistake when choosing a new scent and it doesn't help that there are hundreds of perfume launches each season to confuse the senses. Here are some simple to follow tips to selecting the best spring scent for you.

One: Curious But Cautious
Don't Try Too Many Fragrances At The Same Time, you will get confused. Only a small segment of women have a signature scent but we still tend to buy perfume within the same "family" and for good reason. If you love lush floral  reaching out of your zone for the hot new incense cedar blend is a sure way to mid-day misery. We know our own body chemistry, scents and styles. Be curious, but cautious on what scents you spray

Two: May The Nose By With You

Your nose, won't trick you. If you like a certain scent family, do not be afraid to ask and do your own research. Most women will take it as a compliment and it could lead to a glorious new scent. Seek out varieties and do not copy others--especially not from the ones you hate. Do remember that scents tend to smell different on each woman but you may get a happy lead that keeps you experimenting and exploring. Coffee beans can help you start afresh, but after five scents you will get lost.

Three: Let It Mellow

If you bought something new and after getting it home, the first spritz is telling your nose a different tale than the one you heard at the store, allow it to mellow out. Fragrance usually makes a subtle descent over time and can develop into a beautiful low-level chime. See if the people close to you like it, I know Roa drives me mad sometimes when she asks if I like a certain fragrance, but she gets good feedback.

Four: Get professional help

Not all professionals are created equally, and make sure if you ask too many questions the commission based associate won't drop  you to go talk to another customer. I always tell, them up front I will buy something form you today, I just need to know what it will be. This way, they are more attentive to your needs. Department stores have fragrance specialists who are trained to help you choose a perfect new scent with your name on it. I find it that older women associates have more experience in this field.

Also see if you like the bottle design  sometimes the bottle makes a statement about the scent inside--I would think twice before buying a celebrity fragrance--they are a dime a dozen nowadays.
