Cupcakes, Frozen Yogurt Sweet Spring Perfumes

Over the last few years, market analysts have reported a boom in spring scent sales - with the number of fragrance launches rocketing. This spring sees the launch of scents from a number of household names, with each release is expected to be typical of the season, swapping heady, complex scents for lighter, single-note varieties. But with so many gorgeous-smelling fragrances on the market, it can be a tough gig trying to choose a season-appropriate signature scent.
  1. Ivanka Trump: I had the pleasure of breakfasting with Ivanka for the launch of this perfume, and being a canny businesswoman, she said the reason she went the fruity-floral route is because of how popular it is. The color and the bottle represent the scent very well. It's just pretty with a small touch of sophistication. Her fragrance is definitely sweet at the top, but there's a warm vanilla-patchouli thing happening, too, which is what lingers behind. Ivanka Trump is the daytime of Flowerbomb. Very classy like Ivanka Trump herself. This is a great scent for any developing young lady. It smells like Justin Bieber's someday without that weird fruity grape scent to it.
  2. Alice & Peter Wicked Berry: The bottle alone makes it worth the money: a cupcake-shaped affair with an icing cap yet is looks like a pile of frozen yogurt. Brand Alice & Peter comes out on the market in October 2012 with the line of five fragrances of fruity and gourmand aromas, inspired by cupcakes, yet complex and not just childish. It's a sensual and warm fragrance of berries. It smells like berry and lilac frosting where the combination reminds me of lemon-lime soda (like Sprite) with berries and musk in the background. There is a slight powdery nature to the fragrance and the vanilla,Top notes: lemon, lime, bergamot and orange. Heart: rose, freesia, lilac, blackberry, black currant and raspberry. Base: amber, sandalwood, vanilla and white musk. wears down into a delicately sweet, light musk, with nary a trace of gummy candy.
  3. Betty Barclay Tender Blossom: Betty Barclay Tender Blossom shows, inspired by flowers trends on the international catwalks, as a fashionable and trend-conscious fragrance. Through the inspiration, it seems like this spring, which was drawn into the bottle. The fragrance highlights the femininity charm shine. Also, the bottle appears in a delicate sensual dreamy natural color and is then offered to the exciting package with flower bed. A real bold news of the spring. Fruity notes of melon and litchi are introductory notes of the perfume. Its core captures flowers of cyclamen, magnolia, peony and freesia. The base houses accords of sandalwood, musk and cedar.
  4. Jennifer Lopez Forever Glowing: This bottle takes the cake in terms of fun: this is an interesting scent, at first sniff I detect the saffron, it isn't too much, it gives a twist to the scent. J Lo is taking a new direction, it is more a soft oriental to my nose. It has lots of notes and some I do not get at all like the toffee and the vanilla, neither do I get the iris. The patchouli is present throughout but seems watery, or maybe it clashes with the other notes. It’s like being at a rave. This Lopez's nineteenth fragrance, has a similar construction to Ivanka Trump (vanilla, patchouli), but is much less floral. And like Wicked Berry, it’s got an intense sugary quality, only here it lasts from the first spray until you wash it off. It’s like being rubbed down with a just-baked glazed doughnut. Or so I'm told.
