Perfume guide: 5 heavenly scents for summer

I’ve become totally and utterly addicted to fragrances, I’ve always loved perfume but my obsession has entered a new level, so writing a blog post about my favourite scents of the moment seemed well overdue.
Here are this month’s new discoveries, they are heavenly and include some of my favourite seasonal notes; gardenia and jasmine to create a perfect summer collection of scents…
W12201 Satine Eau de Parfum 100 ml Flacon 300 dpi
Lalique – Satine
Inspired by the world of dance, Satine is a sweet and powdery scent created for the most feminine of women. Notes for this sweet, floral fragrance include; jasmine, gardenia, heliotrope, tonka bean, vanilla, pink pepper, sandalwood, cedar, patchouli, and suede. I adore the 1920′s style bottle, it’s so beautiful and a real dressing table addition.
Occasion: Weekend with my girlfriends, afternoon tea with my mum or a summer’s day picnic.
Bottega Veneta
A more seductive version of Bottega’s classic, signature scent. Bergamot and pink pepper open up this fragrance on first impression, and noticeably so if you are familiar with Bottega Veneta. The delicacy of gardenia and jasmine mixed with the musk of oak come together to leave us with a scent intimate and graceful.
Occasion: Waking up on holiday (Paris, maybe?) with the feeling of excitement at what’s in store.

Maison Francis  Kurkdjian – Aqua Vitae
Aqua Vitae is timelessly elegant, spicy yet refreshingly light and utterly sensual to the point of being almost edible. This unisex fragrance is inspired by a trip to Formentera and the notes of mandarin, tonka bean, vanilla, hedione and guaiac wood which Francis himself describes as the wood of life.
Occasion: Cocktail party wearing a fabulous dress.
Penhaligons – Iris Prima
Inspired by the National Ballet, this unique scent reminds me of a beautiful but powerful woman soft, powdery and perfectly pretty on the exterior but deep, intense and fierce within. With notes of sandalwood, vetiver, vanilla and Hedione and Paridisione creating a sense of luminosity.
Occasion: At the ballet or lunch in a garden filled with petals.

Ormonde Jayne – Fragipani
Fragpani is quite literally summer captured inside a bottle, so fresh and uplifting you can almost visualise the water lily top notes – plus with white frangipani, jasmine and tuberose – this perfume is a blast of floral freshness.
Occasion: Just got out of the shower on a sunny summer’s morning, spritz to feel fresher than fresh and ready for new adventures.
