A Perfume Line For People Who Don't Like Perfume

As much as we love a great fragrance, we get that not every woman is head over heels for perfume. To some, they view traditional scents as overpowering, cloying, artificial, and offensive to the nose. Enter: natural perfumes.

Since they're made with natural oils, these scents tend to be less overwhelming than their chemically enhanced counterparts. We've recently fallen in love with this new Brooklyn-based brand, Forager Botanicals. Created by graphic designer Casey Coyle, the line features four all-natural scents that delicately perfume the skin without assaulting your nose and the olfactive senses of everyone within a five-mile radius of you.

In addition to smelling lovely, each of the fragrances comes housed in an artisanal bottle that features a birchwood cap and watercolor illustration on the label that was drawn by Coyle herself. The scent line-up includes Bloom, a floral scent with notes of spring blossom and green twig; Island Lei, inspired by island living with notes of tropical night-blooming flowers, vanilla, and sandalwood; Nectar, a sweet scent derived from fruits and honey; and Woodland, a unisex scent with cedarwood, high Alps lavender, and herbs.

Even if you don't have a problem with department-store perfumes, we think these au naturel fragrances are a great pick for summertime scenting. Because who wants to wear a super-heavy scent when it's already stifling out?
