Local designer, boutique collaborate on new perfume

Fashion and fragrance often go hand-in-hand and now, a local designer is unveiling his new signature scent! Jonathan Joseph Peters, along with Charna Ethier from Providence Perfume Company, joined the show to tell us all about it.

Inspired by his newest collection, Peters (JJP), a designer and former "Project Runway" finalist, developed a fragrance called Mousseline Pêche. This eau de toilette is as light and airy as the fabrics he used in his resort and spring and summer lines. JJP also loves anything sweet and fruity, so that was another driving force behind the bottled fragrance.

Both JJP and Ethier told us the process to develop the scent was a lot of fun and is something anyone can experience. Ethier's boutique allows customers to mix different scents together to customize their own signature scent.

Since having a branded fragrance is a natural extension for designers with a line of ready-to-wear clothes, the two worked closely on everything from the combination of scents to the package design in order to get this scent just right and ready for retail distribution.

Peter’s Mousseline Pêche eau de toilette is described in full and available to purchase at ProvidencePerfume.com .

It will roll out to the physical store in the upcoming weeks.
