Fragrance Brand Inspired by Photographs to Debut at Bergdorf

Fragrance brand Olfactive Studio is looking to make its U.S. debut this year, and it will do so at one of New York City's best spots for beauty:Bergdorf Goodman. The line can currently be found in over 25 countries, but Bergdorf and other speciality retailers will be its very first introduction to the states.

One thing that separates Olfactive Studio from other perfume companies is where it draws inspiration for its scents, which would be photographs, galleries, and art shows. WWDexplains: "Each scent in the line, which [founder Céline] Verleure refers to as a 'perfumer's proof,' is inspired by a photograph and meant to interpret the overall emotional imprint left by the art." Verleure's plan is to launch one new scent a year, and the fifth, called "Flashback," "interprets a photo by French media artist Laurent Segretier."

So how much is a high-brow bottle like this going to cost you? The article adds that a 3.4 oz. bottle is $195, and the smaller 1.7 oz. bottle is $145. Each comes with a postcard of the piece of art that inspired it.
